University library opened its service in the year 1967. Today the library
holds 2,20,000 volumes. College library contains books as per its student's requirements.
Students are free to ask the book or demand any other related books of any other
authors. Library provides its service 6 days in a week, that is, from Monday to
Saturday. But Saturday working hours is less than that of others. However, service
hours are subject to fluctuate.
Circulation Policies: The circulation policies of library are as follows: Student
ID: Every student must have his or her library card with passport photo and
college stamp on it. Books:
Books are available for 3 weeks basis. No student must damage the books
if found they are liable to give penalties.
Audio-Visual Material: Audio-Visual Material includes slides, filmstrips,
audiocassettes and CDs, which are permitted for 7 days only and there it no renewal
policy for such items. Renewal
Policy: Students can ask for the renewal period for book(s) by presenting
their ID card and book(s) on the Circulation desk. Renewal period is extended
for 3 weeks. Fines:
Any destroy of materials, which includes books, audio-visual materials
or any other library property will be charged in penalties.
Reference and periodicals materials: Library also provides reference
and periodicals, which needs not to be checked out. Library
Collections: Library collection includes books, electronic books, periodicals,
Government documents and some other collections like videotapes and microfilms.
Library Service
for the Visitors: Library provides special service to its visitors such
as special guidance, free on day parking pass, parking services, etc. It means
library always welcome its visitors. Rules
of Library:
- Students
should maintain pin drop silence.
- No
eatable stuffs are encouraged.
- Library
properties should not be destroyed.
- Renewal
should be informed.
- Renewal
for audio-visual is prohibited.
- Smoking
is prohibited.
- Students
should keep to the library hours.
- Any
misbehavior or non-payment of library fees may lead to cancellation of membership.
